Latest Hurricane Debby News

Florida was impacted by Hurricane Debby on Sunday August 4th and Monday August 5th, with sustained winds of 80 mph that swept across the Big Bend damaging power lines, trees, homes, and businesses. The Florida Department of Children and Families has transitioned into response and recovery and is utilizing supports to ensure that Florida families have every available resource at their disposal.

   Replacement of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

 

For residents of the following counties

Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Manatee, Sarasota, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, and Wakulla

SNAP Recipients in the above 16 counties: The period for requesting the replacement of food assistance due to Hurricane Debby ended August 19, 2024.
