DCF COVID-19 Information

Mental Health Treatment Facilities

Since March, the Department of Children and Families has implemented critical mitigation strategies – such as suspending visitation and admissions, establishing isolation and quarantine protocols, increasing supplies of personal protective equipment, enhancing disinfecting and sanitation practices, regularly screening of staff and residents for symptoms, and conducting testing (required for staff) – to prevent COVID-19 from spreading throughout our state-operated and contracted mental health treatment facilities. We will continue to consult with the Department of Health to protect the Floridians in our care and keep our workforce safe.
