DCF Issues Emergency Order for Methadone Medication-Assisted Treatment Licensure

Tallahassee - By Emergency Order, under the authority of Executive Order Number 17-146, extended by Executive Order Number 18-362, the Florida Department of Children and Families (department) has suspended the requirements in subsection 397.427(2), Florida Statutes, and subsection 65D-30.014(3), Florida Administrative Code, regarding the requirement relating to the determination of need for methadone medication-assisted treatment.

Complete applications for the methadone medication-assisted treatment component are due to the department no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019. All required information and documentation must be submitted or postmarked by the deadline to be considered for licensure.
