Circuit 8 Meeting (for Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy and Union counties)
The Florida Department of Children and Families is holding several community meetings throughout Northeast Florida regarding improvements in mental health treatment services, including the expansion of Community Action Teams, and getting the word out on treatment options for young people who have been Baker Acted. DCF recognizes that close collaboration of services between mental health treatment providers, law enforcement and our agency is essential for the success of Florida’s coordinated system of care. By bringing together representatives from various organizations who help address behavioral health treatment and safety across the state, we can improve service delivery methods and truly make an impact for the citizens of Florida.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans of Disabilities Act, any persons requiring special accommodations to participate in this workshop/meeting is asked to advise this agency at least 5 days in advance. For more information, you may contact: Herb Helsel at Herbert.Helsel@myflfamilies.com.
