The purpose of this DCF Community Meeting is to discuss the future goals and the service delivery system of refugee services in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, Florida. This meeting is to prepare the community prior to issuing a solicitation/procurement document. Matters discussed in the meeting are preliminary and any conclusions are subject to change. The solicitation/procurement document, upon publication, will be the authoritative document and will control over any discussions in this meeting.
On March 26, Governor Rick Scott signed Executive Order 18-81, directing the Department of Children and Families to enhance collaboration with law enforcement offices in each Florida county to improve the coordination of behavioral health services for individuals in need. DCF’s Regional Managing Directors for each of the six regions have taken the lead to convene regional meetings to achieve the objectives of the Executive Order. Meetings will be held by circuit to ensure maximum participation and optimum coordination.
